Recipe: Foolproof Perfectly Peeled Country Eggs

Ingredients:

  • - Fresh country eggs
  • - Water
  • - Vinegar (optional)

Instructions:

1. Start by placing your desired number of country eggs in a large pot or saucepan.

2. Fill the pot with enough water to completely cover the eggs.

3. Optional: Add a splash of vinegar to the water. Vinegar can help prevent the egg white from leaking out if any cracks occur during the boiling process.

4. Place the pot on the stove and bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

5. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, turn off the stove and immediately cover the pot with a lid.

6. Let the eggs sit in the hot water, undisturbed, for 15 minutes. This gentle cooking method ensures that the eggs are perfectly cooked throughout.

7. While the eggs are sitting, prepare a bowl or sink with cold water and ice.

8. After 15 minutes, carefully drain the hot water from the pot.

9. Transfer the eggs to the bowl or sink filled with cold water and ice. The cold water helps stop the cooking process and cools the eggs rapidly.

10. Allow the eggs to sit in the cold water for a few minutes until they are completely cool.

11. Once cooled, gently tap each egg on a hard surface to create cracks in the shell. Roll the egg between your hands to loosen the shell.

12. Begin peeling the egg, starting at the wider end where the air pocket is usually located. Peel under a stream of running water to help remove any remaining shell fragments.

13. Repeat the process for all the eggs.

14. Admire the perfectly peeled country eggs, ready to be enjoyed in your favorite recipes or as a satisfying snack!

Say goodbye to the frustration of peeling stubborn country eggs, and welcome a new era of perfectly peeled perfection.

By following this simple boiling method, you can now achieve flawlessly cooked eggs that are a breeze to peel. The combination of gentle cooking and rapid cooling ensures that the eggs are cooked to perfection while also making the shells easily removable. 1. What if you only have store bought eggs?

  2. Note: leave eggs in hot water for 15 min for a GAS stove, if you have an electric stove, the still-hot burner underneath will keep adding heat, so just leave on there for 10 minutes, or move to a cold burner if you want to leave them sitting longer. (Store bought eggs work fine, they just taste more bland)
