How long would this be shelf stable do you think? I know this is a rebal canning recipe and I still would like to make this and help save on grocery cost.
ReplyDeleteIn the post it says 1 year
DeleteIs there a way to can it to keep on the shelf instead of in the refrigerator?
ReplyDeleteI didn't find that comment. And anything made with liquid dairy probably won't be shelf-stable for a year unless processed like the milk you can find in boxes on grocery shelves. Even they have to be refrigerated after opening.
DeleteSomething made with milk in any form would definitely not keep for a year, even if refrigerated And milk is not safe to can, regardless of what some say. I don't know how freezing would affect the flavor or texture either.
DeleteI would go by canning instructions for milk
ReplyDeleteIf canned in a pressure canner this would be shelf stable. Just follow directions for milk products.. can in smaller containers.
